The BRIDE is
responsible for the groom's wedding ring, gifts for the female
attendants, a bridesmaids' luncheon, a gift for the groom, and the
lodging for her out-of-town attendants.
The GROOM is
responsible for the bride's engagement and wedding rings, the marriage
license (and all other legal documents required by the state), the
bride's bouquet, all of the boutonnieres, the corsages for the mothers
and grandmothers on both sides, the fee for the clergy, the honeymoon,
gifts for the male attendants, the lodging for his out-of-town guests
and a gift for the bride!
The BRIDESMAIDS are generally responsible for holding a bridal shower.
The GROOMSMEN are generally responsible for holding a bachelor's party.
The GROOM'S PARENTS are
responsible for their own travel and hotel expenses, buying gifts for
the newlywed's home, the rehearsal dinner and a gift for the couple.
The BRIDE'S PARENTS are
responsible for the majority of the other costs associated with the
wedding, including the facility rental, invitations, photography, the
bride's dress, entertainment, the bridesmaids' bouquets, the reception,
decorations and a wedding gift for the couple. |
